Provisions 139 Customer Service

Duties: Volunteer responsibilities include welcoming customers to the pantry, helping manage the queue, assisting customers with shopping, and restocking/shelving items.

Who you’ll work with: Volunteers work with pantry customers who live on the West Side.

Minimum time commitment: Customer service volunteers should be willing to commit to at least one shift per month.

Schedule: Thursdays from 4:45-7:15 p.m.

Great opportunity for: Individuals who love to work with the community and are comfortable giving directions. Volunteers must be able to respectfully interact with people of various backgrounds. Multilingual volunteers are especially welcome.

 

 

Provisions 139 Restocking Crew

Duties: Volunteer responsibilities include unboxing/shelving/organizing items on shelves and in freezers.

Who you’ll work with: Provisions 139 staff and other volunteers. This role does not work directly with customers.

Minimum time commitment: Restocking volunteers are welcome to come one time or on a recurring basis. A minimum of two hours is required per shift.

Schedule: We schedule restocking crews throughout the week and are pretty flexible.

Great opportunity for: Groups and individuals who like to make things look nice and neat!

 

 

West Side Community Services Reception

Duties: Volunteer responsibilities include answering the phone/directing calls, signing guests in and out of the building, managing the front door, and responding to general inquiries.

Who you’ll work with: WSCS staff, partners, program participants, and community members.

Minimum time commitment: Reception volunteers should be willing to commit to at least one shift per month.

Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Great opportunity for: Individuals who love to work with the community and are comfortable answering phones.
