The Scribblers Creative Writing Group at Baptist Manor

The Scribblers will not meet on December 23 or December 30.

Day: Tuesdays

Time: 1:30-2:30 p.m.

The Scribblers is a weekly creative writing group for English-speaking/writing older adults that is open to the public. Attendees work on and share all kinds of writing projects, including poems, novels, short stories, memoirs, and more. Lunch is provided at each meeting.

La Letra Dorada Creative Writing Group at the Isaías González-Soto Branch Library

Day: First meeting is Wednesday, February 4, 2026. Subsequent meetings will be held every other Wednesday.

Time: 1:30-3 p.m.

Location: Isaías González-Soto Branch Library (280 Porter Ave, Buffalo, NY 14201)

La Letra Dorada is a monthly creative writing group for Spanish-speaking/writing older adults that is open to the public. We work to strengthen intergenerational bonds through reading, writing, and cultural expression. Participants will explore Hispanic literature, engage in creative workshops, and share personal stories that celebrate identity, memory, and mental well-being.

The program includes:

• Poetry, letter, and storytelling workshops

• Activities like “Letters to My Younger Self”

• Letter exchanges with groups in other states

• Presentations by local writers
