Learn basic computer skills, as well as ways to manage your healthcare online, at these free workshops hosted by Literacy Buffalo Niagara.

Workshops are drop-in; registration is not required.

 

Basic Computer Skills: June 25, 2026 @ 11 a.m.

  • Learn basic computer, tablet, and smartphone skills

  • Set up and use email

  • Use the internet with confidence

 

Telehealth: July 2, 2026 @ 11 a.m.

  • Schedule or change appointments through a Patient Portal

  • Access a virtual doctor visit

  • Message your doctor with questions

 

Digital Health Literacy: July 16, 2026 @ 11 a.m.

  • Assess if a website is trustworthy

  • Build understanding to find reliable healthcare information online

 

 

Good for the Neighborhood with the Independent Health Foundation

Good for the Neighborhood is a free, community-based wellness program that brings health-related training and tools to areas where access to health care is limited. Individuals and families are encouraged to manage and improve their health by attending quarterly health fair-style events and workshops.

What’s included: Produce/grocery giveaways, kids’ activities, raffles and prizes, health and wellness resources, plus visiting organizations offering additional resources.
