2025 West Side Community Services Building Renovation
We’re getting a makeover this summer! The City of Buffalo is leading a project to replace the floors in our 161 Vermont Street classrooms, cafeteria, kitchen and some auxiliary spaces!
IMPORTANT DATES
Last day 161 Vermont Street is open to public: Friday, May 16
Reopening date: Renovations are projected to last through the end of July. We don’t yet have a confirmed reopening date, but we will announce it here when we do.
Last day for yoga classes: Wednesday, May 21
Last day for after-school program and West Side Teens: Friday, May 30
OTHER IMPORTANT INFO
Our staff will be working remotely and can still be contacted via email and phone throughout this project.
🌞 West Side Kids Summer Camp will be held at the Loretto Ministry Center (301 14th Street).
🧓🏽👴🏿 West Side Seniors will continue to meet at Santa Maria Towers on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Our seniors are invited to attend the Richmond-Summer Senior Center on Wednesdays and Fridays.
🫑 Provisions 139 food pantry will be open as usual (Wednesdays from 12-3 p.m. and Thursdays from 5-7 p.m.) at 44 Breckenridge.
🥕 Mobile pantry in the 161 Vermont Street parking lot will operate as usual (4:30-6 p.m. on the 2nd Tuesday of each month) but there will be no indoor access (including restrooms).
