We provide information & access to educational resources, member-only transportation services, and specialized fitness programs.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
Basic computer skill building; documenting life histories; community and internet safety.
INCOME ASSISTANCE
Benefits screening and assistance with completing applications for food stamps, Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP), Medicare, Renters Tax Rebates (IT-214), social services recertification, State Tax Relief Program (STAR), and other human services.
SENIOR VAN SERVICE
Member-seniors can schedule rides for errands, grocery & other shopping, and medical appointments on:
• Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:00 AM—12:00 PM
Call Erie County Senior Services (716-858-7433) two weeks in advance to schedule rides on:
• Tuesday & Thursday 9:00 – 5:00 PM
• Monday-Wednesday-Friday 1:00 -5:00 PM
SOCIAL GATHERINGS
Weekdays, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. seniors enjoy different social activities:
• Trips and excursions – Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
• Bingo – Wednesday and Friday
SENIOR CENTER VISITATIONS
Trips to neighboring senior centers to cultivate and maintain friendships.
HOLIDAY LUNCHEONS
Celebrating holidays including Easter, Mother’s Day, Halloween, and Thanksgiving; and a Christmas Party that is open to all residents of the Niagara District.
